Why not visit Lacock and whilst you are here come and learn how to make natural Cold Processed Soap. Jacqui and the team run specialist courses where you can learn individually or bring a friend along. Learning in the lovely environment of our studio is the perfect start to a short break in Lacock with its wonderful historic Abbey and village. We'll share our ingredients and you will leave with a small batch of soap made exclusively by you!

Aspects of soapmaking we cover:

A short history of soap making. Getting started - guidance on equipment. Safety guidance on how to use Sodium Hydroxide. How to add botanicals, clays and nutrients to your batch. Techniques on mixing, pattern and natural colourings. Essential oil blends. How to cut and store your soap. Hints and tips from our design studio on packaging. The legal aspects of selling online and at market stalls. We start at 10 am with a morning of theory and practical skills. Lunch is in one of the beautiful eatries in Lacock village then in the afternoon we create the soap batch and discuss techniques and tips for getting lovely patterns and colours into the soap. We aim to finish around 4.30pm, leaving you time to visit our historic village and Abbey. We'll supply all the equipment and ingredients plus a pack with the days course information and lunch is included in the price.
